  • Approval of Agenda
    • Add June & November concert venues into discussion items
    • Add vision and budget into discussion items
    • Cristina Baker moved to approve agenda for 2/9/2019. Seconded. Approved unanimously.

    • Motion to amend name spelling for Risa Wolff and Barb Lichtenstein in.
    • Amanda Jakl moved to approve as amended 1/17/2019 minutes. Approved unanimously.

    • On Monday or Tuesday, picking up music from Theresa at Skinner for NHS Chicago Musical, to be distributed Thursday at rehearsal
    • Updated minutes and a few other website updates were made
    • Bylaw changes have been updated on the website

  • Operations Manager–Bruce Thron-Weber:
    • Working on SCFD App for next year funding
  1. Discussion Items
  • Budget
    • Board reviewed proposed budget
      • Rehearsal space poses a change of budget since we’ll need to pay to rehearse. Red Rocks Community College will not be available due to construction
      • Move $2,300 in 2020 from equipment to Fund Raiser
      • Cut video services by $500
      • Change fill-in musician from $600 to $400
      • Increase graphic design from $150 to $200
      • Final budget vote will occur on March 7th

      • Smile account
        • Amanda is working on changing admin to access the account. Name needs to be changed from Denver Junior Police Band to Mile High Community Band
      • A suggestion was made to speak with organizations to find a fundraising lead
        • Arts and culture management with Denver University
      • See what other local community bands are doing for fundraising
      • List our concerts in Denver Public radio sites.
      • June concert - Jazz band using Denver Municipal Band book with vocals

              • Cristina to request Bear Valley Church as an option
              • Alameda High School and Edgewater as a backup
            • Roger will request Edgewater for June and August as a backup location for performances and rehearsals.
